Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback - Preseason, Week 2

It's Monday, which means it's time for Football Quotes!! The preseason is fun. Prospects, good deals...raw deals...and slightly cheaper seats. Speaking of cheap seats and the peanut gallery...

Here are the Honorable Mentions from Week One!

"In the hole, he made it work."
Well, isn't that good? He knows how to do his job!

"Someone who is long and lean and can run with the tight ends."
Um... doesn't that make him a tight end, too? Or does he have a bubble butt?

"He beat tight ends down the middle as much as he could."
Can't fault him for giving it the old college try. He might have been worn out from all that beating.

"Bigger guy on the inside to take over."
Where is the little guy? On the outside?

"Nice rhythm. Ball's out right now and out of the pocket."
He's been practicing with music. Good for him!!

Now the funnies this week came from two different games. Packers V Rams and the Ravens V the Cowboys. Both were good games and brought lots of laughs.

"The stiff arm on the back end."
He does like 'em stiff and on his back end.

"Nice hole on the left side."
Um... are they supposed to have holes on the sides? Or are they side-by-side?

"The back end is complimenting the front end."
I like when they work together. It's sexy!

"Really good coverage on the back end."
See! He used enough lube and rubber!

"Catches swing passes and dump-offs."
Sounds like a crazy dating service for those who can't get dates.

"Nothing there that time."
Aw. I'm sorry.

"He is good."
Glad you agree.

"He's the one who actually dislodged the ball."
Then he must be good.

And now for the Doozy of the Week. Oy. You've got to read it to believe it.

"Need to slide over and let one of your buddies have a great weekend."
Depending on who is doing the sliding and where he's sliding to, yes, that would be a great weekend. Can we have pictures?

So the Bengals didn't have a good week. Andy Dalton was fantastic in his time out on the field and they made some good plays. Hopefully that translates into the rest of the season.

Check back for week three highlights!!
