The Bengals beat the Patriots. I'm still reeling and squealing!! Yeah, baby!! 3-3 isn't great, but hey, it's not bad, either. Grin.
But first, let me mention the Honorable Mentions...those quotes that were not quite right for last week... or came on Monday night.
"He's got legs and is using them."
Well, if he's got the legs, I sure do hope he knows how to use them.
"He got it off in time."
Well, how do you like that? At least he got it off.
And now for those quotes this week. Some real zingers in this bunch.
"Good job spreading you out in the trenches."
Kinky. Just watch the dirt in the cracks. Or have a thorough cleaning afterwards.
"Big vertical threat."
I do like 'em tall.
"Great hands on that ball."
I bet he's got great hands in other situations, too.
"Squatted on the route."
That just sounds sick.
"Wrapped up and down he goes."
I'd hope so. Always think of your partner.
"Both grabbing each other."
This could be the doozy of the week. I'm speechless. They can put that on national television?
And now for that Doozy of the Week:
"If you look like that, you're out of the game. If you get all mucked up, you're out, but not here."
Hmm. This is suspect, but funny. If you're muddy, then you're playing hard in the weather. If they mean you're playing dirty or bad...then that's your deal. Or are they excusing bad behavior? Not sure.
Thanks for reading. Hopefully your team won and if they didn't, well, there's always next week.
Stay tuned for my picks from Week Six!
