WIP Thursday and a Thank you!

First off, I want to thank my readers for being patient with me on getting the WIP Thursday post up. Seems like a lot of stuff happened between then and now and I've been behind. Thank you for sticking around.

Second off, I want to thank all those who made Permanent such a roaring success on AllRomance Ebooks. It's fourth in BDSM and a top seller. How cool!
I'm really excited about it! I hope you all enjoy the story and yes I'm working on a tangent story. Want to know more about Permanent? Click on the button above for the ARe Link and here for the Total-E-Bound link.

Here's the blurb:

Sometimes love just ain’t enough...

River Cortland trusted the person he loved. His faith couldn’t protect him from the bitter sting of a cold-hearted Domme. If he’s going to learn to trust again, he’s got to deal with his past. His roommate and best friend, Tory, has seen the physical damage and hasn’t walked away. Can he deal with the emotional scars as well?

Tory McClellan wanted the carefree life...until one night with River changed everything. There’s more to the shy art teacher and Tory wants to know everything-how he tastes, the scent of his skin, the feel of his body as they make love. What terror lies behind River’s brown eyes? Better yet, how can Tory make the sadness go away and be in River’s life, permanently?

Reader Advisory: This story contains flashbacks of a rape, anal sex, light bondage and spanking.

I hope you enjoy it!

What do I have in the wings?

Always comes out in a couple weeks. 4/20 to be exact from Changeling Press. Here's the blurb and cover:
Peter Pan grew up all right.

Peter Pan was supposed to be the boy who never grew up. Then Neverland blew sky high. Now he's very much an adult and playing adult games. There's one woman he wants for his bed, his cuffs, his toys... yeah, he's ready to do all sorts of naughty things to Wendy. If he can find her.

Wendy Darling never expected Peter to come back. She'd grown up and moved on -- to write white-hot BDSM tales. Can her perfect Dom be the one man she never thought she'd see all grown up?

Now back to my bat cave to work on tangent works. Ta!

Drinking and Winning ~ Its a PARTY!

drinking and winning giveaway hop

The Pre- Party Giveaway Hop is being hosted by Reading Romances as a preparation for their blogiversary party on March 29!

Now you might wonder what my favorite drink is. Hmmm.... How about a Mimosa brought by a wonderful mostly naked Cabana Boy? Sounds perfect. Here's how to make the Mimosa... the man... well, that's up to you! Here's the recipe:

Prep Time:
5 minutes

Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • Champagne (1 bottle)
  • Orange Juice (1 carton)

Preparation:

Fill half of a champagne flute with chilled champagne (about 2 ounces) and top off with chilled orange juice (again about 2 ounces), gently stir. For added flare, slice up a strawberry to decorate the rim of each flute. Enjoy! * Also delightful over ice.

Now here's a fun excerpt from Down to Earth, just for you!

Opposites attract? Are you kidding?

For Ike Clanton, having competition means winning. Best at the guitar, biggest ride, highest hair, most tattoos. Until he meets Tallulah. She’s nothing like he wants, but she’s everything he needs -- he just has to figure it out.

Tallulah never wanted to join Glow. She’s there as a favor, and not to Ike. An Earth elemental and a rock star shouldn’t mix, should they?

Add overzealous greenery and a heaping helping of ego to this mix and shake wildly.

Maybe being down to earth isn’t such a bad thing after all.

Once his eyes adjusted to the dark, he found her. Balled up on the floor with tears shimmering on her cheeks. Her voice sounded so small. Ike draped the blanket around her shoulders. “Luc called. There’s a snow ban until noon. We’re stuck. Are you cold?” He sank to his knees and tightened the blanket around her body. “Guess I should’ve fed you more. Then you wouldn’t be shivering.”
“I’m okay.” She kept her gaze low. “Ike?”
He brushed a tangle of hair from her face. “I won’t bite, Lulah. Promise. Come with me out into the main room, and we’ll watch a movie or something. The satellite system we’ve got rocks.”
She placed her finger over his lips. “Maybe I want you to bite.”
“Lulah?” he asked past her hand. She had to be shitting him. His cock throbbed behind his leathers. How long had it been since he’d made love? Too long.
“I’m still right here. Ike?” She opened the blanket and grabbed a handful of his shirt.
“Yeah?” His heartbeat thundered in his chest. A shiver ran up his spine. All he wanted to do was taste her. Everywhere. And find out what it took to make her laugh.
“Come here.” She licked her bottom lip and tilted her head. “I want you.”
“Are you sure?” He pulled her into his arms and carried her out to the couch. Fire licked him from the inside. “I don’t want you to think I’ve got the wrong idea. I’ll keep my hands to myself if that’s what you want.”
Feet on the floor, Tallulah wrapped the blanket around herself and Ike. She tugged them both onto the couch in a tangle of arms and legs. “I want you to. You were right. I enjoyed being on stage with you, but not because we were on stage. Because you were you.”
That wasn’t what he’d expected her to say. Lying on top of her, he planted his knees on either side of her hips. He bracketed her head with his arms. “I’m stunned, Lulah.”
She nibbled on his chin. Strands of her hair tickled his cheeks. “You’re not who I expected, and I’m glad they were right.”
“They?” He inched away from her. “Who is they?”
“Luc and Zac. They said you were a nice guy when you weren’t being so Ike-ish.” She cupped his cheek and gazed up at him. “Kiss me again?”
“Yeah, but one kiss won’t be enough.” He ground his pelvis against her and pressed his mouth to hers. She swiped her tongue over his top lip. Unable to hold back, Ike sucked her tongue into his mouth and trailed his fingers down her arm.

Ike moaned. The jeans and her dress had to go. Bracing himself on his knees, he yanked the hemline of her dress up over her hips. Tallulah stared up at him with heavy-lidded eyes. She bit her bottom lip and shoved her hands between their bodies. Her gaze locked on his, she unhooked the button on his leathers and wrapped her fingers around his cock.
Shimmers of delight ran through his veins. The slight chill on her skin added another dimension of excitement to the situation. He groaned as she stroked him.
“I want you.”

A Review for Believe!

Believe got a review. Seems the same thread keeps coming up. People want to know what happened BEFORE the story. Can't say as I blame them. I know them, though, so I know. But I understand. So no, it's not a sequel to anything, but I thought it was a cute story to go on its own. Here's what Lototy, over at Coffee Time had to say:

The sparks that fly when Chase and Raylan get together are better than any fireworks show. They have the same fears and the same dreams, so it makes it really easy to feel the connection they share. However I do kind of feel like this could be a sequel to another story, in that Chase and Raylan are already a couple when this story begins, but even so, this is a very fun read. Ms. Slayer gives great voice to her characters, and you will fall for every one of them.

Not to shabby. :-) Want to read the full review? Click here.

Virginia Nelson's In the House Today!

I'm gonna let Virginia just run on this one. Why not? Take it away, Virg!

Megan, thanks so much for having me on the blog for more blog hop blitzing! Sorry I’m late…got stuck in traffic…

Did you ever think about how getting sexy was sort of like a game? One none of us ever really wins? I mean, we spritz on flowery smells to attract men who love beer and bacon…Shouldn’t we spray on meat scented or malt smelling stuff? They would flock in droves. Or Super Bowl scented or NASCAR perfume? Eau de motor oil…Can you imagine all the boys that would come running?

It is like chess…every move has to be plotted out in advance. But some of us are socially…inept. Some of us actually will admit we are socially horrible. I am one of those people so I really feel for the main character of Lips of Velvet, my March 17th release from Rebel Ink Press. Sandra is a bookworm, admitting to fixing her crooked desk with a stack of books at one point. Although she is great at moving words to make them do what she wants, people are a mystery to her.

When confronted with the sexy, smart and confident Lucy, she is instantly attracted to Lucy’s self assuredness. Lucy is one of those women who ooze ease. She is graceful, comfortable in her own skin and not worried about what anyone thinks of her. Everything, really, that Sandra wishes she was.

Not to say that Sandra is without appeal. Sandra is smart from all those books. She is funny. She is beautiful but she doesn’t see that about herself. But Sandra isn’t a plotter.

When these two end up on opposite sides of the chess board…sparks fly.

Here is the blurb:

Bookworm Sandra is dragged out for a night on the town by her sister. When she meets the sexy and exotic Lucy, she is instantly attracted to her. But will their spontaneous combustion burn out as quickly as it ignites or will it lead to a long term flame?

Lucy can’t help but be drawn in by Sandra’s intelligent and fun nature. But when Sandra suggests that she was just using Lucy for sex, Lucy is a strong enough woman to hide her broken heart and walk away. A chance meeting brings them back together. Will Lucy seek revenge for a moment of stupidity?

Virginia Nelson spends her days chasing three very active kids around. When she is not doing this, or plotting taking over the world, she likes to write, play in the mud, drive far too fast and scream at inanimate objects. She can often be found listening to music that is far too loud and typing her next fantastic tale of blood, sex and random acts of ineptitude. Romance, in Ms. Nelson’s opinion, is not about riding off into the sunset on the back of a horse with the knight in shining armor— it is about riding the dragon. If the knight can keep up… well, that is love.

“You wrote “Longing” for a girl you never met?” Her hands trembled. She hated being nervous almost as much as she hated fumbling with what she wanted to say. But it wasn’t possible he’d written the song for her. Love at first sight wasn’t possible. “Aren’t you expecting something from her that no one can be?”
He dropped to his knees and took one of her hands in his. “Call me totally crazy, but yeah, I’m expecting a lot from a woman I barely know.”
“Then why? If you don’t know her? What if she’s nothing like the woman you’ve conjured in your head? People are two-faced all the time.”
“Because real is so much better than a fantasy.” He spread his fingers across her thigh and gave it a slight squeeze. “Lulah, it took me a little bit to realize the girl from the concert was you. You have a little more hair, and you don’t have nearly as much makeup, but your eyes gave you away. I just want to see you smile and look at me like I’m not an asshole, but a guy you want to be with. I’m sorry I acted like a jerk. It tends to happen when I feel blindsided and manage to do something really stupid.”
Wow. She sank back in her seat. The guy who was only hours earlier a complete dick was actually the sexy guy with the guitar she remembered. His touch seared her skin. She shifted her thighs together. If she wasn’t careful, just being turned on would send the plants into the room into hyper growth.
Ike’s lips curled into a soft smile that made it to his eyes. God, she wanted him. Wanted to be the woman in his life and to truly believe she was the woman he’d written the song for.
Her chest heaved. Damn, he made it hard to breathe. “Ike?”
“That’s my name, Lulah.” He inched toward her. “I wanted a chance to show you I wasn’t some sex-crazed rock star with a chip on my shoulder. That night was a blur, but I never forgot your smile or the glitter in your eyes and the way you felt so right in my arms. The words for “Longing” were and are the best way I could think of to tell you I wanted more.” He rose up between her knees and cupped her jaw in both hands. “I didn’t get the chance to taste you then. I’m not losing the chance now.”
He swallowed her gasp as his lips feathered over hers. Tallulah fisted her hands at her sides. If she didn’t touch him, then maybe the kiss wouldn’t imprint itself on her brain. Too late. His touch trickled down along the column of her throat. Every nerve ending sizzled. She swiped her tongue over his bottom lip. Remnants of the sauce lingered and sweetened the kiss. She whimpered and pressed her hands against his chest. Solid muscle rippled under her touch. Goddess, this was the man she’d wanted, the man she begged for. Her counterpart. The energy of her element vibrated. He was hers.

EXCERPT!!!!

"Which moron belongs to the monster truck?"
Tallulah shoved a lock of hair from her eyes. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't catch her breath. Some damned fool had driven over -- not beside but over -- her bike. Like it wasn't even there. She fisted her hands on her hips. Her dress swirled around her legs, sending a shiver through her body. Why the hell had she worn a dress when it was so freaking cold? At least she had pants in her bag.
"Guys, who belongs to the behemoth truck?" Her voice cracked on the last word. Damn it.
Wide-eyed, Zac "Ice Man" Frost and Luc Moline stared at her. Neither spoke, but a roar of laughter erupted on the far side of the recording room.
Gritting her teeth, Tallulah turned her attention to the cackler. A shred of her anger dissipated -- but not much. The laughter belonged to none other than the object of her desire and frustration, Ike Clanton. Six feet of solid muscle, wrapped in tattoos, muscles and leather. His hair, fixed in neon green spikes, added another six inches to his height. Compared to her five foot two, he was damned massive. When he played, he wowed arenas. Women literally fell at his feet, wanting a piece of the punk rock guitar god.
Almost every woman.
