WIP Thursdays

Still no word on the submission. Editors are always backed up. I'm...ok, I'm a little worried, but really, they get a LOT of subs. Would I love to have an answer in the email right now? Poof! Uh...yeah...who wouldn't? But I realize, what you want won't always happen.

So I wait...

And write. Yup. The first draft, sans sex, is done for my WIP intended for Changeling. I've always wanted to write for Changeling as I have quite a few author pals who write for them and from what I've seen, it's a rockin' place. Now, the character started off as a nymph, but the more I worked on her, the more I came to the conclusion she was an elemental--a fire elemental. If she makes love to someone, they combust. Honestly, the hero gave me a twist I wasn't expecting and I love it.

So I'm back to the trenches. I hope to have the love scene at least half tackled tonight. Hoping. Hope with me.

WIP Thursdays

Ahhh the WIP...I've got this idear for a Fire Nymph. Now don't get me wrong. I know NOTHING about nymphs other than they are little and have magical powers. Yeah, I got nothing.

Well, no. I do have something. I have a storyline and a hero to go with my Fire Nymph. I won't go into tons of details, but I can say that this is something I had no idea I was going to write, but I kinda like it. The paranormal is fun because one can do with it just about whatever one wants. That really makes my day.

So she's a Fire Nymph. He's not. She's got a problem. Him. He's adored by many.

We'll see where it goes.

WIPThursdays ~ I Did The Deed...

...I finally sent in my WIP. So I guess that makes it not a WIP but a submission...

I have other works to work on, but I'm in a bit of a stand-still. I mean, I know I should be working on something else so I'm not idle. And yet, I'm scared to freaking death that it won't be good enough. I've been shot down before. I want to keep going. I want to write the next big blockbuster book. But...I also realize that I'm still small peanuts. Yanno?

Does anyone else go through this? The fear of rejection?

Ugh...time for more Tums.
