Taygan's free spirit resists taming -- except when it comes to Luc. Luc's one hundred percent human. Taygan is all air elemental. He needs his space and freedom, but he'll do whatever it takes to make Luc happy, including giving up his space and freedom to make Luc's holiday one he'll never forget -- complete with the real Santa, peppermint candy, and lots of hot sex.

Sometimes the one who drives you the craziest is the very one you can't live without.

When Taygan walked, Luc thought he'd never see his best friend again. That's fine. Luc's busy with his band, Glow, and isn't really interested in having a love life. There's just one small glitch. He's lonely without Tay, and his pride can't take losing him again. It's up to Luc to decide, but can he live with his decision?

Taygan thought he could handle his element and have a permanent relationship with Luc -- until the need to follow the wind element took over. But being away from Luc is killing Tay's element. To make things worse, Luc's not waiting around for Tay any longer. What's a guy to do when his lover is the very air he breathes?

And if that's still not enough manlove for you, I've got my rock and roller christmas story coming out later this month with Liquid Silver Books.

WIP Thursday...a Grumble and an R-Rated Excerpt!

I meant to have something witty to post today. I meant to. I'm feeling like poo but it happens. It's the time of the year for the cold bug to hit and yes, I got a flu shot. Sucks cuz my productivity has gone to pot. Oh well. It happens. I'll get back on the horse. But to tide you over, since I sucketh, here's an excerpt from my latest work, Under and Over It:

“You show off every night to those crowds. They get the best of you while I get the rest. I want to see every inch of the body under the tight T-shirts, the guy who makes everyone feel like they’re the only ones in the room. I want him to teach me anatomy. I’m failing that class.”
“Regan,” Cam whispered. “Your grades are better than mine -- I think.”
“Let’s talk where it’s more private.” Not wanting to grind on Cam in the parking lot, Regan led Camryn into the apartment. A single lamp illuminated the living room. “I’ve had more than my share of fantasies concerning you. What you taste like, smell like after sex, what you think about… You glow when you’re happy, and I want to see if I can make you happy.”
“I don’t know what to say.” Camryn rested his forehead against Regan’s, and the door snicked shut behind them. “Regan, you’re making me blush.”
“Bullshit. But I like it when you drop the punk facade.” Regan smoothed his hands over Cam’s shoulders. His lips feathered over Cam’s. “I want to see you on display -- every last bit of your body just for me.”
“Yes.” Cam panted. “Now.” He pressed himself from head to toe against Regan. His tongue pierced the seam of Regan’s mouth.
Regan’s eyes rolled back in his head as he licked and nibbled Cam. God, he’d waited for this. Waited for Cam to want him. But things could certainly slow down a tick. Regan pulled away from Cam and smacked his lips together, tasting Cam on his tongue. Mint, cola, and delicious.
“What?” Cam’s gaze darted around the room and settled on Regan. “What did I do?”
“Please?” Regan stepped back a foot, shocked by his newfound commanding tone. “I want to hear you say it.”
“Please.” Cam’s nostrils flared, and his eyes widened in the low light. “Do with me what you please. I belong to you.”
Regan slid to his knees and unzipped Cam. He’d dreamt about doing wicked things with Cam for so long… to have it happen was like having his deepest wish granted. With a little shifting, Cam’s cock sprang free from his jeans and boxers.
“So thick.” Regan closed his eyes and marked himself with Cam’s scent. He rubbed his cheek against Cam’s penis, gently nuzzling the nest of curls. Regan glanced up at Cam. Eyes closed and lips parted, Cam clenched and unclenched his hands.
“Do you want to touch me?” Regan sat back on his heels once again and worked his wallet out of his pocket. The foil packet crinkled in his hand.
“Need to touch you.”
Regan took his time tearing open the condom. “Say it.”
Cam’s eyes opened. A look of confusion and want crossed his face. “Please.”
Taking Cam’s hand in his, Regan kissed Cam’s palm. “Very good.” He wasn’t exactly sure where the dominant streak was coming from, but damn, he liked it. Judging by the cock bobbing before Regan, Cam liked it, too.
Regan cupped Cam’s balls with one hand and smoothed the condom down his length with the other hand.
“Please?” Cam murmured. “Let me touch you, too.”
Regan nodded and kissed the crown of Cam’s dick. Cam, in turn, forked his fingers in Regan’s hair. Pleased with the response, Regan worked Cam’s rigid length, swirling his tongue along the vein. The barbell in his tongue bobbed against Cam’s penis.
“I forgot you’re pierced. It feels fantastic.”

Here's the blurb and linky:
Rock hero Camryn Tate makes the girls scream, but his roommate, Regan, holds the key to his heart.

Regan Finley's photography makes the local music scene shine. He's four months from his final exhibition and graduation. But instead of preparing for the party, he's fretting about his exhibition theme -- bondage and passion. There's one person he wants to make his exhibition come to life, if he can convince his housemate to participate.

Camryn Tate plays the music that makes the young girls scream. He likes being a local rock hero. When he finds out what Regan wants for the exhibition, Cam has to make a decision. He can let Regan have his commanding way and get the pictures he needs for the exhibition, or he can walk away from the best roommate and friend he's ever known... all because of a little ball of nylon rope.

Monday and a Review and a Post and ...

So I'll start this post with a confession. I forgot about blogging this whoooollllleeee weekend. Was I busy? A little. Was I not in the mood to blog? Yup. Sad.

Okay, so what's up in the world of Megan?

I've got a post up on Manic Readers blog about finally finding someone. Want to read? Click here.

And found this on Saturday, courtesy of the fine folks at both The Romance Studio and Changeling Press. A review for Fire Woman!
"The love scenes between them are melting hot...I liked the interaction between Atria and Zac." Rated four hearts from The Romance Studio. Pretty cool for my very first review!

Now I'm off to update the site. Toodles!

Oathbound Review!

Those who know me, know I love the works of Mychael Black. Call me a sucker, but I love it. This book is no exception. But before I gush too much, here's the vital stats:

Oathbound ~ Mychael Black
Changeling Press
Paranormal, sci-fi/fantasy, m/m, anal sex
short story (23 pgs)

Vaughn Burke is an Enforcer -- a werewolf working for Marcus Deleon and tasked to help their kind escape from the vampire Dalton Gray. When Marcus gives Vaughn a new case, it's not exactly what Vaughn expects.

Elian Levine is the guitarist for a metal band, but he has a secret no one knows. When he managed to escape Dalton Gray, he kept the truth hidden, even from his band mates. Now their need for a singer threatens to tear the lid off his closely-guarded past.

Vaughn is all alpha and growly. He knows what he wants even when he's not totally sure who the man is. I loved the placement of him in the band. It gave him a twist of humanity in an otherwise very stiff-seeming character. Now don't get me wrong, being stiff isn't a bad thing. He's there to protect.

Elian. Talk about a yummy man. I loved the twists in his character and the way he dealt with the arrival of Vaughn. Totally sexy. I sped through the pages because I had to know what would happen next and how.

So what's the verdict?

Granted this is a short story, but that's not a big deal. This series rocks and I'm thrilled. I want to know more about this world. The sex it white hot and the writing is nice and tight.

Get yourself a copy of this hot little story. You'll be glad you did.

WIP Thursday

So...looked like I wasn't around all last week. Sadly, I wasn't. I'd like to say it was because I was writing like a mad woman. That's not quite right. Not at all. But, hey, vacation is a blast and it's needed. :-D

On the plus side,I've got a release coming out this week. Tomorrow in fact. Under and Over It officially releases. I'm stoked. Why? It's my first ever MM release and I love the characters.
Here's the blurb:

Pretty cool. :-)

Tomorrow I'm reviewing the upcoming book, Dark Reign: Oathbound by Mychael Black. Can't wait!

What else is up on deck?

Working on Tallulah and Ike's story for the Glow books, and finishing my vampire books. Hopefully soon. :-)

Guest Blog: Jami Gray and Amber Kallyn

Jami—Hey Amber, did you see this blog by Megan Slayer?

Amber—Yum, love those pictures. I bet she’s got some great stories.

Jami *still drooling over some spectacular ab photos*--Oh, I’m sure she can give you a run on spicy stories!

Amber *evil grin*--Probably.

Jami—She invited us to guest blog. I even sneaked some interview questions out.

Amber –Niiiccee. What do we got?

How much of your writing is realistic or based on your life experience?

Amber –Sex scenes or action scenes? *taps her chin* Hmmm, I’d have to say most of my writing can be directly contributed to the voices in my head. They tend to be pretty loud.

Jami *shrugs*--Seriously? It’s Urban Fantasy, people. Once you’re in, there’s no escape. It’s all real. You can’t tell me you’ve never met a demon bitch queen.

What does your family think of your writing?

Amber—I’d never let my children read what I’ve written. I could be stripped of my mom-of-the-year award.

Jami—Shhhh…they think I spend hours at Starbucks for the coffee.

What is your writing quirk?

Jami *hand shooting in the air, waving frantically* OHHHH, I got this one! *grins* I’m orbitally fixated!

Amber—No arguing that one! I swear you have more eye action going on than a bachelorette party at a strip club. Let’s see, I have to write my books in the dark, alone. *gives Jami the evil eye* Don’t ask.

Jami—oookkayy moving on then…

What animal makes the best shifter?

Amber—leopards. All those teeth and claws. Don’t get me started on their speed. Besides they love to play with their food…and kick ass.

Jami—I’ve got to go with wolves. The whole lone wolf thing just does it for me. Besides, what woman doesn’t like a half naked man who can howl at the moon?

Boxer, briefs, boxerbriefs or commando?

Amber—Do you really need to ask? Commando. Less clothes to take off.

Jami—Not for me. Boxerbriefs—I like being teased.

What were you doing at midnight last night?

Amber *arches an eyebrow*--It’s legal in at least three states in the US.

Jami—I can’t tell you without incriminating innocent participants.

Have you ever eaten a crayon?

Amber—Yes. Did you know blue does not taste remotely like raspberry?

Jami—Ummm…not that I can remember. Not sure I’m missing out on much.

Have you ever made a crank call? Please explain.

Amber— What exactly do you consider a prank call? Let’s see, one that I can talk about in public. Hmm. I guess a speakable one is how I managed to get banned from almost every call-center list out there. Here are five ways to annoy telemarketers:

1) Order your favorite pizza and tell them you expect it in 30 minutes or less

2) Try to convert them to your religion

3) Say ‘No thank you’ as many times as you can before they hang up

4) Tell them you know who they are, where they live, and you’ll be calling them back at home later

5) Start telling them how sexy they sound and that you’re wearing... Nothing!

Jami—I’m sure the statutes of limitations has expired by now, so yes. When I was much younger and single, I tormented my ex-boyfriend by calling and leaving a suggestive message on his machine. Unfortunately his current girlfriend got to it first. I’m sure she wasn’t as amused as I was. *blushing* I never claimed to be nice, but I did get even. I’m more mature now, *ignores the not-so-muffled snort of disbelief from Amber* I would never condone such actions.

If scientists could invent one thing, what should it be?

Amber—Teleportation! Then I could manage to write while lugging around kids.

Jami—Cloning humans. I’m sure my hubby and kids would love someone who would actually cook their dinner. Hell, I’d actually like someone to cook dinner.

Can you tie a cherry stem in a knot?

Amber—Yes, I’ve had that particular skill mastered for years.

Jami *snort*--I’m sure you have. And no, but I obviously know people who can.

How many fingers am I holding up?

Amber—Thirteen.

Jami—Seriously? What did I do to piss you off? I’ve been nice.

These gals crack me up. I swear. Want to know more about them? Here's the deets!

AMBER’S BIO:
One of those rare breeds, Amber Kallyn is an Arizona native who can trace her family's history through six generations in the state. She lives with her sexy husband, and their four very active children. Included in the menagerie are two cats (though there's always room for more) and two dogs. We won't count all the fish. She also writes urban fantasy under the name Higley Browne.

Amber loves the paranormal, from dragons to werewolves to vampires. She's currently at work on her next book, probably running around the house acting out a fight scene with her collection of swords and daggers. Or maybe, wishing she had claws to practice the other fight scenes.

A voracious lover of the written word, Amber found at an early age that she could read fast. Really fast. She devours novels by the day, novellas by the hour, and is always looking to get her hands on more.

JAMI’S BIO:
Growing up on the Arizona-Mexico border, Jami Gray was adopted at the age of 14 and suddenly became the fifth eldest of 37 children. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s in Journalism and three minors-History, English, and Theater. Shortly after marrying her techie-geek hubby (who moonlighted as her best friend in high school) she completed a Masters in Organizational Management from University of Phoenix Oregon.

Now, years later, she’s back in the Southwest where she’s outnumbered in her own home by two Star Wars obsessed boys, one Star Wars obsessed husband, and an overly-friendly, 105-pound male lab. Writing is what saves her sanity.
